Dear participants,
Before you embark on your journey to Struer, Denmark, we would like to provide you with some practical information to help make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.

Sunday Arrival
For Technical Course taking place
Monday

If you arrive on Sunday instead of Monday, the same travel arrangement from the airport applies as outlined for Monday 
If you are staying at the Grand hotel on Sunday, the hotel will have a voucher for you for dinner at a nearby restaurant, called Værftet (In Danish = “The Shipyard”).
You’ll have a selection from the à la carte menu, with a value of 300 DKK (approximately 40€) for both food and drinks. Should you wish to order additional items, simply pay the difference directly at the restaurant.

The restaurant is located only a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel by the harbourside. Please remember to ask the reception for the voucher when checking in.

The restaurant is open between 17:00-21:00 (5pm-9pm), so if you arrive the hotel after 21:00 the hotel will have a sandwich bag prepared for you.
You will receive a voucher for dinner on both Sunday and Monday.

Monday Arrival
Upon arrival at Billund Airport, you will be met by a driver (taxi or bus) holding a Bang & Olufsen sign. The transfer from Billund to Struer takes approximately 70 minutes.

A single-occupancy room has been reserved in your name at the Grand Hotel in Struer.
​
For those arriving early enough, we are pleased to offer dinner and a drink at the Grand Hotel restaurant, which serves a selection of pizzas and salads (please note that the kitchen closes at 20:45).
If you arrive after 20:00, the restaurant will likely be closed upon your arrival in Struer. In this case, a sandwich will be prepared for you and available at reception.

Please note that the Grand Hotel reception closes at approximately 22:00. After this time, you may enter the hotel using the keypad located to the right of the entrance (code: 8745).
Your room key, clearly labelled with your name, will be waiting for you at reception.

Tuesday
On the Tuesday morning a member of the training team will be waiting for you at the hotel reception.
Please be ready in the reception to leave the hotel at 08:00 and always be on time to avoid delays to the group. You do not need to bring anything with you; notepads and pens will be provided.
Wednesday
Once again, we will be ready to leave the hotel at 08:00 sharp.
Thursday
Please check out of the hotel, leaving yourself enough time to do so.
We leave the hotel at 08:30; bring your luggage with you to store at Bang & Olufsen HQ for the day.
The course ends on Thursday around 12:00. Lunch will be available at 12.00 for those who have time. We will organise airport transfers for everyone leaving out of Billund, and taxi for those departing from the train station.

Dress code for the course is business casual. In the evenings you are welcome to wear casual clothes.
The weather in Struer is very changeable. Please check the forecast as you may wish to bring warm clothes.
Denmark uses kroner and not euros. However, you can pay everywhere by credit/debit card, which means you do not necessarily need to change money.
For all official meals, including dinners and lunches during the course, we will cover both food and drinks. However, any drinks from the bar or additional food outside of the official course activities will kindly be at your own expense.
